About the Inn Keepers

It is our pleasure to introduce ourselves to you, I am Stephen and my wife is Rae Pike. My wife and I come from two very different backgrounds. I was born in Michigan to an American Father and an English Mother. I developed my love of architecture and antiques through my travels abroad and my parents antique business back and forward from old mother England to the shores of the USA. I grew up sailing on the Great Lakes surrounding Michigan. It became the thread that tied me to my wife, a girl born in the true South, that is South Pacific, in a beautiful country called New Zealand. There lies a fascinating story of two lives coming together to protect and restore part of the past of Madison, which was crucial in the founding of Florida as a state in the early part of the 19th Century.
